Jessica is a German-born, award-winning American film editor. She began her career as an intern in the editing department of the popular German television series A CASE FOR TWO before working as an assistant editor at ZDF, one of Germany's largest and most prominent public broadcasters, where she edited her first television film, YOUR DEADLY SMILE.
Her passion for film editing, led her to Los Angeles, California, to attended the prestigious American Film Institute's (AFI) Conservatory for Advanced Film and Television Studies. At AFI, she received the Tommy Gross Award for Outstanding Achievement in Editing and was a finalist in the American Cinema Editor's (ACE) Student Editing Competition.
Since then, Jessica has built a diverse portfolio, editing a wide range of independent feature films, television series, documentaries, and short films.
Her television editing credits include five episodes of the HULU miniseries THE 4 TO 9ERS: LIFE AS WE KNOW IT Season 3, directed by TWO AND A HALF MEN director James Widdoes, and 13 episodes of the HBO/Cinemax TV series THE GIRL'S GUIDE TO DEPRAVITY.
Her independent feature film credits include the award-winning drama SOUTH OF PICO starring Christina Hendricks (MAD MEN) and Gina Torres (THE MATRIX), the comedy BUTTLEMAN starring John Hawkes (WINTER'S BONE) and Dan Castellaneta (THE SIMPSONS), the adventure/horror film AFTER DUSK THEY COME starring Jewel Staite (FIREFLY, STARGATE ATLANTIS) and Kellan Lutz (TWILIGHT), and the horror/thriller MARA starring Olga Kurylenko (QUANTUM OF SOLACE, OBLIVION).
